In May 2007 companies within the estates voted to become a Business Improvement District (BID) enabling the forum to implement a range of specific projects funded through a levy on the business rates.

The BID area covers the four Segensworth Estates – North, South, East and West and is managed by Segensworth Business Forum Ltd. The BID lasts for 5 years and will generate an income of around £170,000 per annum raised through a levy of 1p in the pound for each business rate payer. The levy is collected by through the business rates in July of each year and is mandatory for every business ratepayer within the BID area.
