As part of our drive to reduce crime on the estates the forum has helped to sponsor two Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) by providing bikes, clothing and equipment. The PCSOs will patrol Segensworth and the local area and help to increase police visibility.

PC Dave Coleman, our local community officer, said: "This sponsorship has come about due to the good working relationship the police have built with local businesses. We were very pleased to accept the help of the forum and look forward to returning that help with an efficient and highly visible police presence, continuing our efforts to reduce levels of crime in the community."

This continues our BID objective to reduce crime and prevent Segensworth being seen as a soft target.

In other security news, quotations have been obtained to install CCTV cameras at key points across the estates. Work on finalising the operational feasibility will be completed shortly and a decision made on how to proceed.
